Seeds of Faith Tuition Assistance Endowment

We have received information from the Diocese of Winona regarding the Seeds of Faith Tuition Assistance Endowment. This need-based fund was established to provide additional financial assistance to families who are not able to enroll their students in Catholic schools because of limited income and work opportunities. (This is not an academic scholarship fund.) The Board of Directors of the Diocese of Winona Foundation has released approximately $100,000 in endowment earnings for distribution in the form of financial need-based scholarships. Applications are now available in parish and school offices. Two sections (B and G) of the application need to be completed by the pastor and postmarked on or before May 31, 2012. Applications will be reviewed by a committee that will make recommendations to the bishop for the award. Every family that applies will receive a letter acknowledging receipt of the application, and then, later in the summer, informing them as to whether an award has been made.
